What is a Jurisdiction?

Jurisdiction refers to a jurisdiction. This is a territory with its own laws under the control of its own court system and government, which are different from other territories. Effectively, we mean a different country, but since offshore financial centers primarily offer different laws, courts and governments, it is common in international business to refer to Jurisdictions instead of countries.
