Letter of Attorney ist eine Vollmacht und schriftliche Erm\u00e4chtigung, eine andere Person in privaten Angelegenheiten, Gesch\u00e4ften oder anderen Rechtsangelegenheiten zu vertreten oder in ihrem Namen zu handeln. Die Person, die den anderen bevollm\u00e4chtigt zu handeln, ist der Auftraggeber, Konzessionsgeber oder Spender (der Vollmacht). Derjenige, der zum Handeln bevollm\u00e4chtigt ist, ist der Bevollm\u00e4chtigte, Rechtsanwalt, oder in einigen Rechtsordnungen des Gewohnheitsrechts der Bevollm\u00e4chtigte in der Tat.<\/p>\n<p>Fr\u00fcher bezog sich der Begriff &#8222;Vollmacht&#8220; auf eine mit Siegel unterzeichnete Urkunde, w\u00e4hrend ein &#8222;Brief&#8220; eine vorliegende Urkunde war, was bedeutet, dass er einfach von den Parteien unterzeichnet wurde, aber heute muss eine Vollmacht nicht mit Siegel unterzeichnet werden.
